Ejection is the last cycle in the injection moulding process, where most surface defects happen because some surface areas of the article stick to the mould. To overcome this problem, many converters use a mould release agent.
Depending on the way of application, there are 2 types of mould release agents, i.e. external and internal mould release. External release agent is applied by spraying onto the surface of the mould cavity prior to the injection of the material, while internal mould release agent is applied by simply mixing the additive into the polymer mix before the injection process.
INTRALUB, is an internal mould release masterbatch developed by PT. Inter Aneka Lestari Kimia. The ease of applying has made Intralub the best choice for the injection moulding industry.
INTRALUB will avoid surface defects and improved surface finish, thus resulting in an approximately 10% reduction of rejected plastic articles.
External mould release agents require production disruption when re-applying to the mould, while INTRALUB can provide an uninterrupted running process, especially in robotic production processes like in the automotive industry.
Sufficient dosage of INTRALUB will assure consistent mould release effectivity and in the long term will reduced machine wear.
INTRALUB can be custom made.
